Hello from the south coast of the UK.
I hope that 2023 is treating you well so far. I’ve just got back from an early morning run and it felt decidedly spring-like. Here’s hoping…!
The writing is progressing at pace: I’m currently drafting the fourth Trent Rivera novel – this one is set on the Bay of Biscay in France (see picture below), and involves a whole gang of ne’er-do-wells and criminal types that the ex-soldier comes into contact with. It feels like a very natural one to write, and it’s certainly the kind of setting where Trent is in his element.
My designer is currently working on covers - we have had a couple of meetings to discuss the look we’re going for, and I’ll be excited to share them all with you. The estimated release for One Bad Apple is Easter(ish!) All being well, the next book in the series – Two’s Company – should follow hot on its heels. And the plan is to make the prequel (a novella entitled Zero Hour) available at the same time.
If you’re here, then you’ve found the website already, of course. Firstly, a thank you for reading the blogpost. And, secondly, if you haven’t signed up to my mailing list, then please consider doing so - there is a button at the top of the page, or you can fill out your details at the bottom. It should only take you 30 seconds, and I promise there will be no spam.
What I can promise is that I’ll keep you updated about new releases and ideas for future stories. I do post updates on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram too, so keep an eye out if social media is more your thing.
In the meantime, I wish you a happy February. I’m going to be posting a few short stories as blog posts that feature Trent Rivera in various sticky situations. Do please leave any comments – I love to hear your thoughts and suggestions.
Very best wishes,
